Science Fair Winners

This month we invite you to join us for presentations from some winners at the recent Cape Breton Regional Science Fair. 

Cody Fraser will provide an overview of his project "Gutter Filter", which won in the Junior Engineering category and the Junior Peer Choice Award.  The Gutter Filter is an innovative approach to filtering and cleaning rainwater from a rooftop prior to storage and use. 

Robert Barrett will present his project "Knock Out - The momentum of a kick boxer's punch".  Robert was the Overall Engineering Category winner and the Best in Show winner.  Robert just retuned from the National Science Fair where he captured the Silver Medal in Physical and Mathematical Division.  In addition to a monetary award he also won a scholarship to Western University.

All are welcome to attend TecSocial free of charge at Membertou Trade & Convention Centre, cash bar will be available.  Door prizes and appetizers (limited quantities) will be provided compliments of Nova Scotia Business Inc.
